To ensure personal care, individual attention and learner analysis, we have introduced tutorial system in the College in the year 1996 and successfully continues till now. Every department in the college has a tutorial system which monitors each and every student in the department. Their problems and issues are dealt by the teachers, and if more help is needed, they are sent for further conselling. This system also satisfies the norms laid down by the UGC in this regard. The system will help to promote interpersonal relationship among the members of the Students and teaching community. The entire student community is divided into groups and each group is entrusted with a teacher who personally looks after the students of his/her group. Every day, sixth hour is set apart in the time table for tutorial work
Tutorial system has been organized with a view to better the relationship between the teachers and the students. It aims at promoting effective teaching and advertent attention on the student and thus to improve the general discipline of the college. The group tutor will keep regular watch over the progress and conduct of the students under them and will help them in their studies in a general way. The student is expected to consult his/her tutor on all matters pertaining to academic life and studies. All applications including leave applications and representations to the Principal shall be submitted only through the group tutor concerned.
The progress and conduct of the student will be regularly intimated to the parent by the Principal on the report of the group tutor concerned. Tutors will conduct class wise parent teacher meetings once or twice a year. It aims at providing effective coordination between
parents, teachers and students of the particular class. The tutor may recommend the cases of Scholarship / college bus facility at concession / Leave of absence / Free studentship and anything a student wishes to communicate to the authority . Each Tutor maintains a comprehensive tutorial record which consists of a detailed bio data, Academic Performance in the Pre university level or graduate level of PG students, Performance in the internal and External Examinations, Academic and Non-academic achievements and other major incidents relating to each student under a tutor.
