Puramannur: The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Majlis Arts & Science College (Autonomous), Puramannur, successfully launched the Media Student Masters Series – Session 01 with a Peer Teaching Workshop on Color Grading for Second-Year BA Mass Communication and Journalism students.

The initiative aims to foster collaborative learning by encouraging students to share their expertise with peers, creating an interactive academic environment where learning extends beyond the traditional classroom.

The first session was led by Mr. Rakhil AP, a Semester III BA Mass Communication and Journalism student, who served as the Student Resource Person. During the workshop, he introduced participants to the fundamentals of color grading, demonstrated practical workflows using industry-standard tools, and explained how color correction and grading enhance the visual storytelling process in photography, filmmaking, and digital media production.

The workshop provided hands-on exposure to essential color grading techniques, enabling participants to gain practical skills that are highly relevant to contemporary media production and content creation.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rahiya, faculty member of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, whose guidance and coordination ensured the successful execution of the peer-learning initiative.

The Media Student Masters Series reflects the department's commitment to experiential learning, student leadership, and skill development by providing students with opportunities to learn from one another while building confidence, communication skills, and professional competence.
