The Department of Sociology organised a field visit to VKM Special School, Puramannur, as part of its Experiential Learning activities. A total of 61 students and 3 faculty members participated in the visit.

Conducted under the MoU and collaborative initiatives between the Department of Sociology and VKM Special School, the visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to the functioning of a special school, the educational needs of children with special requirements, and the importance of inclusive education.

The field visit enabled students to connect sociological concepts and classroom learning with real-life social settings, fostering greater understanding, empathy, and awareness of inclusive educational practices.
