The Department of Education, Majlis Arts and Science College (Autonomous) is conducting a legal awareness programme titled “SHE TALK” as part of initiatives connected with International Women’s Day.
The session will address critical legal topics including Domestic Violence, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and Dowry Prohibition laws. The programme aims to raise awareness among students about legal safeguards, victim rights, and the importance of reporting and preventing abuse.
The awareness class will be led by Adv. Sabeena P.M., Panel Lawyer, Taluk Legal Services Committee (TLSC), Tirur, who will provide insights into legal procedures, rights of victims, and available legal assistance.
The programme is conducted under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority, Manjeri, in collaboration with the Taluk Legal Services Committee, Tirur, and the Victim Rights Centre.
This initiative is intended to promote legal literacy, gender awareness, and social responsibility among students, encouraging them to understand and uphold justice and equality.
