The programs emphasize both theoretical and experimental physics. With a dedicated faculty, the department boasts well-equipped laboratories for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. It admits 48 UG students and 16 PG students annually. The department ensures program objectives are met and learning outcomes monitored through tests and assignments. It hosts various seminars, webinars, and workshops annually, encouraging student research activities. Additionally, it offers add-on courses beyond the curriculum for practical knowledge enhancement. Special coaching classes are conducted for both slow and advanced students.
